PARKER BRANCH OFF-SITE No. 1: CLUSTERING 3, 5, 7, 8, 16

PARKER BRANCH OFF-SITE No. 1: CLUSTERING 3, 5, 7, 8, 16

VERNISSAGE JAN 7TH, 2012

6PM - 12AM

Parker Branch is a collaborative curatorial project by artists Anna Madelska and Jason Hallows that occupies a small storefront space in London Ontario. The curatorial emphasis has been primarily upon objects that fall outside of the sphere of art – found objects, ephemera, collections, natural artifacts, etc. The presentation strategies explore the possibilities for the lateral diversions of meaning that become possible across heterogeneous collections, rather than any sense of duty to the history of the objects exhibited.

The exhibition for WWTWO represents the first off-site project for Parker Branch, and will draw from their growing archive to produce compounded thematic clusters that touch on such diverse topics as doubling, stereoscopy, dowsing, cavities, international diplomacy, and war.
